The techniques, history, best practices, movements can feel overwhelming. Alas, AI is here to prevent us from this labor and lead us straight to making art…

Well, not quite.

If you want it to be good, you’ll still need to learn.

Enriching your vocabulary for better AI Art

Ealier this week, I posted a thread on Twitter about the use of rich natural language for writing prompts.

First, I need to come clean.

Yes, I know Midjourney can’t handle that many words for a prompt, I purposely wrote this thread this way to incite more engagement. Now you know it too.

Still, the point I was making with this holds true: developping your vocabulary, learning about art and how to talk about it is incredibly valuable.

And as someone with ADHD, learning with a purpose is so much better. It’ll make me engaged in my learning to know I can apply it right away.

So go to your local library and buy yourself a book about art, any form. Follow your curiosity and endulge it, care deeply about what you love so you can learn what it is you want to create.
